About the Regions

01Welcome to Mikroregion Hodonínsko, which was founded in December 2004 to promote, coordinate and protect common interests of member municipalities. This union of municipalities is made of folklore diversed villages and towns rich in vineyards thank to the sunny climate: Dolní Bojanovice, Čejkovice, Dubňany, Hodonín, Josefov, Mikulčice, Novy Poddvorov, Prušánky, Rohatec, Ratíškovice, Starý Poddvorov. In each of these places you will fi nd cultural monuments, natural attractions and other tourist destinations. Moravian wine cycling routes and the newly opened waterway Baťa´s fl oating channel provide convenient connections with other Mikroregions. Thanks to all municipalities offering varied cultural, wine and sports programs, this Mikroregion offers perspective conditions for tourism development.

The Mikroregion Hodonínsko operates as a separate legal entity. The objects of its activitiesare primarily the following: coordination of activities relating to regional development, cooperation in the provision of advisory and informational services, building and expanding the network of cycle tracks, organizing cultural and social events of regional signifi cance, and joint promotion of the union of municipalities. Mikroregion is also engaged in the needs of children , sports activities, and the protection of the environment, especially of the greenery. Thanks to its location, it is suitable for agricultural activities; and its industrial past is also very important.

01Podluží region, a voluntary group of villages located in Lanžhot, was established in 1999. During 2003, originally seven associations were extended of six new villages from Hodonínsko. The last member of the association became the youngest Břeclav´s village, called Ladná, in June 2007. The confederation of municipalities is a founding member of Local Action Group (LAG) Dolní Morava, Mikroregion Hodonínsko´s partner and a partner of Slovacko Region, which is presenting itself at international tourism fairs in Europe with. The region also cooperates closely with other bodies, such as Biosphere Reserve Lower Morava, Folklore Association of the Czech Republic. The activity of Region Podluží is largely aimed at obtaining grant funds for the implementation of development projects in the fi eld of promotion of tourism, viticulture, preservation of traditional culture and improving infrastructure.

Region Podluží, for the period of its existence, has realized more than 35 projects aimed at the already mentioned infrastructure, work with children and youth, marketing areas, promote wine education and further development of the territory.
